Test Drive 1

Welcome to the beta test of BadgerNet, Multiversal Edition! Settle in and enjoy your posting experiences. Everything in this will be non-canon.

Here're some example prompts to play around with. You can make up your own!

1. An embarrassing moment of yours just got posted to the site. Oops!
2. Post your proudest moment to the site.
3. Hiccup Event: Vampires. Everyone affected is a vampire, your choice of what style of vampire.
4. Hiccup Event: Disney Princess. Animals just won't leave you alone!
5. Hiccup Event: Actor. You believe you're an actor playing the role of yourself as a character and you have the props and everything to prove it. Chill offstage and all that.
6. You're livestreaming a dramatic moment in your life.
7. Asking the people on the site for advice on something.

And so on. Be sure to read the rules and FAQ before posting.

Okay let's just say *theoretically* you managed to mail off a letter you never meant to see the light of day.

Exactly how hard is it to break into a mailbox?
talkyourwayout: (...Uh.)

[personal profile] talkyourwayout 2020-09-29 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd imagine it depends on your experience breaking into things.

But if the letter's not going too far, you're probably better off taking it out of the mailbox before the person you mailed it to gets it than stopping it from being mailed at all.

It's still a felony, but at least it's an easier felony.

Okay see the problem there is this is one of them ones that you drop it down a chute and it's stuck. The big blue ones.

Or this one is blue anyhow.
talkyourwayout: (*inhale*)

Uh-oh, well then we'll need to get creative here.

But first, do you own a shrink ray or a watch that stops time for everyone but you?

I know those aren't normal things to have, but somehow they're all things my uncle owns so hey, never hurts to check.

...

Is your uncle some comic book villain or somethin'?
sailorfuk_u: (Are you pondering what i'm pondering?)

[personal profile] sailorfuk_u 2020-09-30 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
That depends. How much do you care about public property?
oldbetsy: (098)

oh good lord, hello to you. i loved that show.

[personal profile] oldbetsy 2020-09-30 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
A lot less than you'd think, at least when it comes to this letter.
sailorfuk_u: (bitches AND whores you say?)

huhuhu hello! the anime was SO good, i'm glad you enjoyed it! i'd heartily rec the manga too.

[personal profile] sailorfuk_u 2020-09-30 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
that opens up a world of possibilities

next question: how good are you with explosives
oldbetsy: (094)

ah a new thing to indulge in, thank you.

[personal profile] oldbetsy 2020-10-01 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Don't even get me started. It's like everyone has been all about blowing something up in my life at some point.

[Okay so it's mostly been Big Bob and that explosive-happy schmuck boarder of Arnold's but that's way too many people already.]

I've got free time and a helpful mood at the moment. I can just pick the lock for you.
oldbetsy: (058)

[personal profile] oldbetsy 2020-09-30 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
What, seriously?! I tried that but nothin'.

Then again I didn't exactly have lock picking tools over here.
phobophage: (friendly)

[personal profile] phobophage 2020-09-30 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I have the tools and the skills. Here's the plan. You keep watch while I pick the lock, I keep watch while you search for your letter, and then you keep watch again while I re-lock it. Assuming all goes well, a crime with no traces.

[Now normally Helga does have some sort of moral compass, particularly after several years of dating the goodest good-boy that ever existed.

And yet that letter tho.

In the end she mulls for maybe a minute.]

I'm sold.

[The big question though:]

So what's in it for you? Unless lockpicking is just like your thing or whatever.

Long story short, I'm a little bored and not feeling like doing the usual things I do with that boredom. A caper now and then is a nice way to break things up a little, even a small-time one like this one.
