Test Drive 1

Welcome to the beta test of BadgerNet, Multiversal Edition! Settle in and enjoy your posting experiences. Everything in this will be non-canon.

Here're some example prompts to play around with. You can make up your own!

1. An embarrassing moment of yours just got posted to the site. Oops!
2. Post your proudest moment to the site.
3. Hiccup Event: Vampires. Everyone affected is a vampire, your choice of what style of vampire.
4. Hiccup Event: Disney Princess. Animals just won't leave you alone!
5. Hiccup Event: Actor. You believe you're an actor playing the role of yourself as a character and you have the props and everything to prove it. Chill offstage and all that.
6. You're livestreaming a dramatic moment in your life.
7. Asking the people on the site for advice on something.

And so on. Be sure to read the rules and FAQ before posting.

See, that sounds way more familiar than most of the worlds on this thing. I was starting to worry everyone else either didn't have giant monsters or didn't have schools for how to beat them up.

I felt exactly the same. That seems to be common for humans, though. The kind who can't use magic are fragile.

Yeah. Even in my world, it takes a lot of practice to use Aura, so not everyone gets it.

I mean, supposedly Aura isn't "really" magic, but also, that doesn't stop me from referring to Lantern as Wizard School.

That sounds as though it would create some sharp differences. The rulers and the ruled.

It's been a political concern in the past, yeah. Aura-having nobility ruling over powerless peasants. Thing is, anyone can learn to use Aura, and a thousand peasants with Aura and sharp sticks will beat a dozen knights with Aura and a fancy gunsword. Especially when you account for Dust, which anyone with even a whiff of Aura can use as well as anyone else. Or, really, anyone after firearms were invented.

These days the ruling class has pretty much switched over to money instead, for oppression purposes. That at least has scarcity going for it.
