Here're some example prompts to play around with. You can make up your own!

[ His stare isn't quite rude, but it's clear he's only ever seen cats react in the way Q'uila had. This was new for him. He's almost more watching her ears as she speaks, but his eyes meets hers once he starts speaking again. ]

Yeah, uh, the city I live in is surrounded by mountains on all sides. I think beyond the mountains is jungle, but I don't remember. I don't think I've ever seen the sea. [ He has the expression of a man who's clearly frustrated with this lack of knowledge, but it passes. ] It would be nice to have a change of scenery.

[ He looked about to speak about her own training, but he perked up the moment she asked about his katana. ] Oh, let me go grab it.

[ He moved away from the camera for a moment, and while he was out of frame the water for his tea went off. He took a moment to prepare his tea, and then popped back into frame with his sword in hand. ]

Of course it would be inappropriate for me to unsheathe it, but here.

[ He holds the sheathed sword up to the camera. It's exquisitely made: the handle of the sword is black fabric with red ornament. The scabbard is a beautiful red that matches the ornament in the handle, with the end cap and cord in gold, matching the tie for his hair and the trim around the sleeve of his robe. ]

I'm the only samurai here, actually. It's just something I'm good at, I guess. I also really like the old pre-war samurai movies as well. [ He hesitates, then speaks again almost shyly. ] But there are... Samurai there? Like in the movies?

[Q'uila barely notices the staring at her ears. After Ishgard, Doma and the Arcana's game she had become used to the gaze of those unaccustomed to Miqo'te.]

'Tis certainly possible that you may see it in the future, there are a large number of people knocking about with the power to travel between worlds and take others with them. Mayhaps you shall be lucky in the future!

[She leans in towards the screen to get a better look at his katana.]

Oh Fury, 'tis a beautiful blade you have there, that could put a Hingashin made sword to shame. Very striking!

We lack movies where I come from but aye, samurai aplenty here.

[A video comes through of the Seikisegumi barracks in Kugane. Six tradionally garbed trainees running through stances under the guidance of their masters and plenty of other samurai milling about in the background.]

[ As she praises the weapon there might be the hint of a smile on his face. ]

I am glad you can appreciate it! There aren't many here that think so highly of it. Everyone here seems to prefer guns.

[ His tone suggests that he finds that distasteful. ]

I would invite you over for movies in exchange for showing me the ocean, but I fear where I live is not really suited for guests.

[ He seems to pick up camera and squint a little at the screen to watch the video she's streaming. ]

That is... Are they far from where you are?

That seems good to me! [Her head cocks to the side and her ears flick.] The samurai? The lands they hail from are quite far away. The first time we ventured East the ship journey took around three months. Now that the Garlean presence is reduced we do have more making the journey from the East to Eorzea so there now are those here who have training or are learning the art on this side of the sea.
