[ Aesop Carl is a quiet man. The sort of person who doesn't enjoy or understand the need to socialize with living people.

The sudden introduction of a strange social network that forces you to interact with others becomes a huge problem in his case, especially since it materialized as a magic book that's somehow linked to a flying camera.

Now everyone's being treated to a video from the camera's perceptive as it follows an increasingly irritated embalmer through an old mansion. ]

... Go away. [ He tries to shoo it off, it doesn't listen. ] Leave me alone!

[Advice?]
[ FINE. The Badger wins. He'll go write something to the faceless masses so it'll stop bothering him. ]

Why does this network exist?

[ ... Yeah, he couldn't think of anything else to post. The faceless masses are still a bit intimidating. ]

[ The post starts with an image of Aesop strapped to a rocket chair. A small menagerie surrounds him; A squirrel, an owl, multiple cats, a rabbit, and even a boar. ]

This was taken during the last match. I "died" about two minutes in.
Where are all these animals coming from?

You can't die in the games. The hunter can attack you, bleed you out, or strap you to a rocket chair, but you just wake up in the manor at the end of it all.

What's the purpose of such a game? Is it simply entertainment for these "hunters"?

I probably wouldn't be here if that invitation had said anything about the nature of the game.
