Well, how about you do me a favor and not give him any involving me? I'm not interested in seeing his dumb face again.

He might have freed me from Mallet, but as far as I'm concerned, I already paid off that debt.

I'm sure he'd like to know his sword is up and wandering about on it's own.

I don't think it works that way if I remember correctly.

He never bothered to use me anyway, so it shouldn't be any of his business. I didn't stick around all these centuries so I could be someone's wall decoration.

I helped him get through Mallet, and was ready to keep lending him my power for as long as he needed it. He's the one who decided he was done with that arrangement.

He has Rebellion why would he? From what I can tell nothing is quite the same to him as Rebellion.

I think you expect far too much from him.

Yeah yeah, he's got his personal Devil Arm, so the rest of us are just collectables. Still doesn't change the fact that I've had enough of hanging around doing nothing, and I don't see how it's any of his business if a sword he never even uses wants to stretch his wings for a while.

On that alone I know you're giving him too much credit. I mean we're talking about a guy who outright ignored his heritage until he literally couldn't anymore.

Can't say I'm surprised, I remember his stance on demons. Why do you think I just left, instead of trying to tell him how bored I was?

And to think he might have actually listened once you caught his attention. But I guess since you're so intent on being the bad guy it won't matter anyway.

Yeah well, I'm no Sparda. For most of us, trying to play the hero just gets you killed. And I had enough of that the first time around.

Neither is Trish, she manages just fine. So I guess that just makes you generally weaker than all of them.

I'm not talking about just running around killing the odd problem demon. That's just pest control. Heroism is things like taking on Mundus to protect humanity as a whole. And I'll have you know that I lasted longer against him than she did.

It's more than just the odd problem demon, there are plenty of smart ones here nowadays.

So you just want to fight Dante again and see if you win...He'd probably be up for it. He needs someone to beat him up now and again and bullets are too expensive for me to do it.

Can't say it wouldn't be cathartic. And if I did win, I wouldn't have to call him 'master' any more.

But aren't you worried I'd finish him off if I got the chance?

Not really. He's hard to kill. And he already beat you once, so I'm betting he'd kick your ass again.

He didn't beat me directly. It was a kind of supernatural contest, while I was still trapped in my sword and weakened by the seal Mundus had on me.

Still sounds like he beat you.

Doesn't sound like you've recovered you senses since then.

...Why is written English so counter-intuitive?

I meant, I'm not weakened anymore.

He'd still probably beat you. You're assuming he's remained kind of static.

Try fourth. English didn't even exist when I learned my second language.

You think I haven't been sharpening my own skills? I'd have to stop calling myself a warrior if I ever stopped doing that.

I kind of figured that part out a while back.

So just ask him for a fight and be done with it. You're making this way more complicated than necessary I'm beginning to wonder if you're scared.

I think you're misunderstanding the relationship between Devil Arm and master. He wouldn't have to give me a fair fight, and I'm not cocky enough to think I could beat him before it even matters.

If he was that weak, I'd be the one bossing him around from the start.

And if you think for a moment that in this case he wouldn't give you fair fight you clearly don't know him at all.

Now there's an image. Especially since I can think of exactly one person that can boss him around even remotely and she's all of nine.

Well, kids. Not surprised he has a hard time telling her no.

Anyway, I'm not expecting much consideration from a devil hunter who thinks it's Trish's 'humanity' that makes her worth an exception.
